Health Disclaimer

Last updated:

This Health Disclaimer applies to everything Twily publishes, including our eBooks, printable trackers and checklists, journal articles, emails and social media posts (together, “Twily content”). Twily is a brand of Twily LTD. By reading or using Twily content, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully.

1. General educational information only

Twily content shares general wellness information about everyday habits such as balanced eating, simple cooking, stress management, sleep routines, digestive wellness and walking. It is written for healthy adults and is intended for education and inspiration only.

Twily content is not medical advice. It is not a substitute for individual advice, diagnosis or treatment from a doctor, registered dietitian, mental health professional or another qualified healthcare provider. Nothing we publish should be used to diagnose or treat any health problem or disease.

2. No professional relationship

Buying or reading a Twily eBook, reading our articles, or contacting us does not create a doctor–patient, dietitian–client, therapist–client or any other professional healthcare relationship. Our support team can help with orders and downloads, but cannot give personal health advice.

3. Speak to a qualified professional first

Always seek the advice of your doctor or another qualified healthcare provider with any questions you have about your health, and before making significant changes to your diet, physical activity, sleep or daily routine. This is especially important if you:

  • have a medical condition, or are being treated for one;
  • take prescription medication or supplements;
  • are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding;
  • have food allergies, intolerances or a digestive condition;
  • have, or have had, an eating disorder or a difficult relationship with food;
  • have a heart, lung, joint or mobility condition, or have not been active for a long time;
  • have ongoing problems with sleep, mood, anxiety or stress;
  • are under 18 years old.

Never ignore professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read in Twily content.

4. Food, recipes and nutrition

Our meal plans, recipes, food charts and sample menus are general examples, not personalized nutrition plans. They do not take into account your individual calorie, nutrient or medical needs.

  • Allergies and intolerances: always check every ingredient against your own allergies and intolerances. Our recipes are not tested for allergen safety, and packaged ingredients can vary between brands and countries, so read food labels carefully.
  • Food safety: follow safe food handling, cooking and storage practices, including cooking food thoroughly and keeping chilled foods cold.
  • Fiber and fermented foods: increase fiber gradually and drink enough fluids. If you have a digestive condition or a weakened immune system, ask a healthcare professional before adding fermented foods to your diet.
  • Digestive symptoms: if you have persistent or worrying symptoms, such as ongoing changes in bowel habits, pain, unexplained weight loss or blood in your stool, see a doctor rather than changing your diet on your own.

5. Exercise and physical activity

Our walking program and movement suggestions are designed to be gentle and gradual, but all physical activity carries some risk. Choose activity that suits your fitness and health, warm up, build up slowly, wear suitable footwear and walk in safe places.

Stop immediately and seek medical help if you feel chest pain or tightness, severe shortness of breath, dizziness or faintness, an irregular heartbeat, or sharp or unusual pain.

6. Stress, mental wellbeing and sleep

Our breathing, mindfulness, journaling and sleep-routine content shares everyday wellbeing practices. It is not therapy, counseling or a treatment for any mental health condition or sleep disorder. If stress, low mood, anxiety or poor sleep is affecting your daily life, please speak to your doctor or a qualified mental health professional.

If you need urgent help

If you are in immediate danger, or worried that you might harm yourself, call your local emergency number now. In the UK, call 999 in an emergency, call NHS 111 for urgent medical advice, or call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time of day or night. If you live elsewhere, contact your local emergency services or a local crisis line.

7. No guaranteed results

Twily products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Everyone’s body, health and circumstances are different, so individual experiences vary. We do not promise or guarantee any particular outcome, such as weight change, better sleep, reduced stress or improved digestion.

We do not publish before-and-after claims. If customer reviews appear on our product pages, they reflect the personal opinions of individual customers, not medical evidence.

8. Accuracy and sources

We aim to base our content on reputable public health guidance and to keep it accurate and up to date. However, health research and guidelines change over time, and we cannot guarantee that every piece of information is complete, current or suitable for you. Guidance can also differ between countries.

9. Links to other websites

Our content sometimes links to other organizations, such as the NHS or the World Health Organization, for further reading. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content.

10. Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use Twily content and for choosing what is appropriate for your own health. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Twily LTD is not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, Twily content. Nothing in this disclaimer limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
