This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are and how twily.store uses them. We keep cookies to a minimum: essential cookies to run the store, and optional analytics cookies only if you say yes.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They help the website remember things, such as what is in your cart. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a similar way and are covered by this policy too.
2. Essential cookies
These cookies are needed for the store to work. They do not need your consent, and you cannot switch them off on our website:
- Cart and checkout (
woocommerce_cart_hash,woocommerce_items_in_cart,wp_woocommerce_session_*): remember the eBooks in your cart and your checkout session. These last for your browsing session or up to 2 days. - Your cookie choice (
twily_consent): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don't ask you on every page. It lasts up to 180 days. - Payment security: the payment provider you use at checkout may set its own cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are covered by that provider's cookie policy.
3. Analytics cookies (optional)
If analytics is switched on for our website, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular. This helps us improve the store. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last up to 2 years.
Analytics only loads if you choose "Accept analytics" in our cookie banner. If you choose "Reject analytics", or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set. If you don't see a cookie banner, analytics is not in use.
4. Advertising cookies
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not allow third parties to track you on our website for advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
5. Managing your choices
You can change your analytics choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer (shown when analytics is switched on). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout may not work.
